Hire a speaker or sound system rather than buy one, as they will be incredibly expensive to buy if you go for a good quality one. Make sure you book one in a good few weeks before the big day, if not even earlier. Most companies who hire out lots of different wedding accessories, like dancefloors, only have a few speakers. You don’t want all the speakers in your local area to be already booked by other people and weddings!

While it makes far more sense to hire a sound system for your wedding, it is more sensible to buy things like your tablecloths. That’s right! While you may have been so focused on the tables centrepiece that you’ve forgotten about the thing that goes underneath! When it comes to quality, tablecloths for restaurants, catering and weddings tend to be of a good quality. Yet they’re also affordable. They’re also the kind of thing that you can make use of in the future in your home or garden. Tablecloths aren’t just about presentation, however. If you have hired your tables and they belong to the venue, you will want to protect them from marks or stains. These might be caused by dropped food or candle wax, for example. Tablecloths are a great way of putting a barrier up, and allowing you to keep your venue deposit!
Jars & Containers
When you turn up at your venue, you will likely be armed with all sorts of things. You might have things to make a confetti table, or a sweetie table, or a date idea table! However, there is one item that all of these kinds of things have in common that often gets forgotten. We’re talking about jars and containers. It’s all well and good having kilos and kilos of beautiful confetti, but you’ll need to have something to put it in. It is always wise to buy more containers and jars than you think you might need, and just keep the labels on. If you reach for them, take the labels off. Or, if you don’t use them, you can still return them and get your money back. Alternatively, you can get a little crafty with how you store and present stuff on the day.
