Venue Ideas To Give Your Reception The Wow Factor

Weddings can be tricky to plan. Every bride has a vision.

Whether that is working to a budget or going crazy with the little details. Some like to do a lot of decoration themselves while others bring in the professionals to dress the venue space. However you choose to do it, every bride get’s there in the end and has Wedding Day Perfection. Some brides, however, do forget to pay close attention to the venue space. Often leaving it up to the inhouse team at your chosen location. But, this is where I think you can set the tone for your day. Which is why I thought I would share with you some different ideas to give your reception the wow factor.

Rock those centerpieces

The first thing you need to do is think about your space. Are the ceilings high? Is it a big room? This is because those answers should help you determine the right centrepieces for your tables. What you don’t want is to pick something that will fade away into the room because of the size of it or overpower the space to make it feel smaller. Centrepieces can be a huge statement for a room and can set the tone. You can incorporate your theme, use your choice of flowers, and even add candles. The options are endless. Some brides like to ask the florist to do this, but you could also consider making some yourself. There are plenty of inspirational ideas on websites like Pinterest.

Think about adding floral details elsewhere

Don’t just assume that flowers are just for the centrepieces. You have a whole room to fill. Many brides forget this detail, but it can be the difference for making your room have the wow factor. You may think this might be an unnecessary expense. But you don’t have to go too crazy or spend a lot, to get the desired effect. You can head out to local flower shops the day before and pick up some great flower options. Maybe using things like mason jars to display them on window sills or even the gift table.

What about a bit of bling?

Who doesn’t love a little bling? Particularly in a reception space. It can capture the light and give the whole room that glistening effect with very little effort. It’s quite an easy look to achieve. It can be as simple as laying down some metallic confetti on the table. Maybe using gems or glass shapes. Hearts work particularly well considering it is a wedding. You could even get them personalised to state your names and your wedding date. Things like this are quite readily available on websites like Etsy and eBay.

Try something different with alternative colored table cloths

I think that the standard for all weddings is a white table cloth. But that doesn’t mean you can’t go against the grain a little and choose something different. Depending on your theme and color scheme you could choose something very alternative like black. Allowing your centre pieces and little details to set the whole thing off. Other colors that may work well would be pastel shades of pink, purple or blue.

Don’t forget the chairs

Finally, don’t forget those chair covers. They can finish the room off and make it feel complete. You could consider attaching a sash bow or trying more creative details like flowers or lace.

I hope this has inspired you to make more use of your venue space.
