Fit & Fabulous: Achieve Your Dream Wedding Look Through Fitness

Looking for a way to look and feel your best on your wedding day?

In this article, we will discuss how fitness can help you achieve your dream wedding look.

You’ve found the perfect wedding dress, and the big day is just around the corner. Time moves so fast during these times, and while you are trying to stay on top of all the other plans, the stress can pile on. Making that time for yourself and making sure you are looking your absolute best can get left behind or forgotten about.

That time ends now. This day is about you, and as these memories will live with you forever, you want to make sure you not only feel your best but also look your best. Nailing down a workout plan is the number one priority in the few months leading up to your wedding day, and if you are struggling to find somewhere to start, we have you covered.

Holistic nutritionist Sally Pansing Kravich advises starting your wedding fitness regimen at least half a year before the big day to avoid starting any bad habits. She warns against starving yourself, going on a last-minute super training spree, and setting goals to fit into a dress that might be too small. “Get strong, flexible, glowing skin, and energy that makes you feel fabulous inside and out by starting early with a healthy diet and exercise program.” Still, that’s not all!

Getting Your Wedding Body Ready

Planning your wedding has you feeling a crazy amount of things. One day you will be excited and stressed, but it’s important to remember that all you need is yourself and your partner to feel good, and everyone else is just there to love and support your forever relationship.

These are our best pre-wedding workout tips that you can follow before your big day.

Start Small

If this is completely new to you, then you are better off starting your journey a bit early but at a slow pace. They say that most habits stop after three weeks, but that might happen because you are throwing yourself into the deep end rather than building up the routine naturally.

You might want to start working out 2 times a week, whether it be at your local gym or at home. Anything is progressing in the right direction. The same goes with your diet, adding more protein or incorporating more fruit and vegetables into your diet can go a long way, but that does not mean restricting yourself to salads; it means adding more healthy foods to your usual diet and slowing down the bad stuff.

Breaking unhealthy habits is hard because they are usually a comfort to us. So instead, building a relationship with healthy habits is a process, but it will slowly cancel out the bad if you start slow. What I did to get into fitness routines was to invest in some nice quality women’s gymwear. This motivated me to use the products I’ve just bought but also made me feel confident, and, I will not tell a lie, I felt like “that girl” in my fitness clean girl aesthetic.

Get into HIIT

If research has told me anything, it’s that cardio will not get you ready for everything, and while cardio is good for your health, there is a lot of misconception that it’s key to weight loss, which simply isn’t the case. Opting for high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is the key to moving forward. It is our Lord and Savior to get your bridal body ready.

This workout usually consists of short bursts of intense work that can last anywhere from 15 seconds to 4 minutes per workout. You could try doing this yourself, but if you aren’t strict with yourself, you could try attending workout classes at the local gym or partnering up with someone who also wants to try HIIT.

Target Your Core

When it comes to most women, we want our cores to be strong, toned, and stunning, so it comes as no surprise when we say to opt for other workouts that target your core. Incorporating workouts like squats, lunges, hip thrusts, and ab workouts can help sculpt your waist and contribute to a strong core.

What I have found useful is to look through YouTube videos and see what other women tend to do. Core workouts can be done in the comfort of your own home. The best part is that you can do it at any time of the day with minimal equipment if any is required.

The Day Before

To prevent bloating, try limiting the amount of fresh veggies and beans you eat. Have a high-protein breakfast first thing in the morning, and sip on a cup of water in between each alcoholic beverage.

Water retention and cellulite skin can also be addressed with a clean diet for weddings. Whether you use your old reliables or try something new you’ve seen online in the morning or evening, incorporate anti-cellulite products into your regular beauty regimen. Your body’s contours will be lifted and reshaped with the aid of this cream.

Mindfulness

Preparing for your big day can seem like all you need to do is prepare the exterior, and we neglect our mental health, but if we are going to do it right, we have to make time for ourselves. While fitness can help with stress and make you feel better about certain aspects, it’s not the medicine for mental health; other things work alongside it, and practicing mindfulness is another step in the right direction.

Try things like yoga, or sitting and practicing your breathing. These little things we do with ourselves can help us appreciate the present moments and let us relax, turning off the stressed little voice in our heads right before the big day.

With the right plan and motivation, you can achieve your dream wedding look you have always dreamed of. So, what are you waiting for? Start your journey today!
